With fine performances and a dark, dry sense of humor, The Weather Man is mostly cloudy with occasional rays of sunshine.

The Weather Man | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Wendy Ide Times (UK) It’s a terrific role for Cage, whose widest smile always contains a flicker of anguish. And Caine is excellent as the unattainable father figure in this enjoyably downbeat tale of the flipside of career success Dec 13, 2023 Full Review The Weather Man | Rotten Tomatoes (2) J. R. Jones Chicago Reader Written by Steve Conrad, this is the smartest script director Gore Verbinski has ever had, and he makes the most of it, aided by a strong cast. Jun 28, 2022 Full Review The Weather Man | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Zadie Smith Daily Telegraph (UK) It's a deeply honest and comic performance and seems filled with all the genuine humiliations that one imagines Cage himself has suffered in the past 10 years. Jan 17, 2018 Full Review The Weather Man | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed Yet another retread of Cage's weak formula of a gloomy man examining his life. Aug 16, 2013 Full Review The Weather Man | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Joshua Starnes ComingSoon.net The Weather Man is more of a parable than a story; it just goes on and on and on, and the only point is to endure. It's not very uplifting, but sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's sad; sometimes hopeful, and sometimes melancholy. But that's life. Rated: 8/10 Mar 7, 2011 Full Review The Weather Man | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Nick Rogers Midwest Film Journal Intended as director Gore Verbinski's palate cleanser before back-to-back "Pirates of the Caribbean" sequels, this is an apprehensive cringe comedy of male malaise. It's also Verbinski's best to date, a small-scale challenge he should attempt more often. Rated: 3.5/4 Dec 2, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews

Nathan W I really enjoyed this film. Just a man, trying to make his way through this thing called life. I like when movies dont really have a story but just take us through days in the life of. Just 2 hours of adulting and all the suckage that comes with it. I cant put my finger on exactly why this movie works... It just does. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/23/24 Full Review KB B I thought it was pretty good mainly because I like Nicholas Cage. It's worth the watch. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review Giorgio S This is an adult movie and not a dumb comedy for 13 year old where Nicolas Cage freaks out even if he does it.It talks about a man that has to face about grief and the pain of divorce and in this stellar cast Nicolas Cage and Michael Caine shines in their roles Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/20/24 Full Review Phuong N kind of my childhood movie, idk how it's stayed in my head for so long Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/30/23 Full Review steve m Not really sure where this movie was headed. Nick plays a guy who is pretty clueless about why his family has left him, why his father thinks he is a failure, why people throw garbage on him in the street. The only thing he is good at is in front of a TV camera. 50 years ago, that was all the father was supposed to do, bring home the bacon. Guess a lot of guys now wonder why the rules have changed. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Worth viewing just for it's more experimental structure, black comedy elements and balancing of tones.
